It was a good run, but Atchison unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Pleasant Ridge Rams by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Atchison sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 21-25, 25-20.

Atchison's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16-2. As for Pleasant Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13-7.

Atchison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Shawnee Mission South on the 11th. As for Pleasant Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Louisburg on the 11th.
