Softball Recap: Valley Catholic Comes Up Short

Valley Catholic was the 18-1 winner over Corbett when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Valiants fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The Valiants have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valley Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Corbett, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Catholic will take on North Marion at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The Valiants are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Corbett, they will face off against Willamina at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
