Basketball Recap: Pioneer Charter School of Science Comes Up Short

If Pioneer Charter School of Science was riding high fresh off their 54-32 takedown of Notre Dame Cristo Rey last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneer Charter School of Science Panthers took a 40-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mystic Valley Regional Eagles on Friday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Pioneer Charter School of Science's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mystic Valley Regional, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pioneer Charter School of Science will take on Excel Academy Charter at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Mystic Valley Regional will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Medford at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Medford will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mystic Valley Regional surely won't give up without a fight.
