Recap: International Studies vs. Downtown Doral Dolphins
This season hasn't been kind to International Studies, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They had to suffer through a rough 81-25 loss at the hands of Downtown Doral. International Studies was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-8.
It was another big night for Juan Diego Castro, who scored 21 points for Downtown Doral. Castro is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Morantinos, who scored 11 points.
International Studies bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.8 points per game. As for Downtown Doral, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12.
International Studies will head out on the road to face off against Everglades Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Downtown Doral, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Pinecrest Glades Academy at 3:30 p.m.
