Softball Recap: Broadneck Victorious

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Broadneck ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Easton Warriors 4-3. This was payback for the Bruins, who suffered a 7-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Rylan Crisafulli spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aliceanna Weibley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Abby Favazza also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The win got Broadneck back to even at 2-2-1.

Coming up, Broadneck will venture away from home to face off against Glen Burnie at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Easton, they will take on Parkside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
