Football Recap: Fort Davis Skates Past Sanderson with Ease + How To Watch

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Fort Davis brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They claimed a resounding 58-24 win over the Sanderson Eagles. The victory was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Fort Davis' win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Sanderson, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Fort Davis will square off against Sierra Blanca at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Vaqueros' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sanderson, they will take on Grandfalls-Royalty at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Cowboys have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups.
