Baseball Recap: Baldwin County Takes a Loss

Baldwin County suffered their closest loss since February 15th on Friday. They fell just short of the Gulf Shores Dolphins by a score of 4-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dolphins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 last Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Baldwin County and nudges their season record down to 8-13. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Gulf Shores, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-8.

While Baldwin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
