Basketball Recap: Saltillo Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It was a good run, but Saltillo unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Olive Branch Conquistadors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 93-71 back in January.

Saltillo lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jeremiah Foster, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Foster has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jack Conner Howell, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Saltillo's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-7. As for Olive Branch, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-7.

Saltillo has already played their next contest (against South Panola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Olive Branch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
