Recap: Summit Christian Academy Eagles vs. Butler Bears

The Summit Christian Academy Eagles entered their tilt with the Butler Bears with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Summit Christian Academy took down Butler 59-45 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Summit Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2018.

Summit Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mike Thomas iii led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Jeffries, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Summit Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Butler, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Summit Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge University Academy Charter at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Academy Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 546th, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked 98th). As for Butler, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sherwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sherwood is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
