Basketball Game Preview: GVCS Broadfording Lions vs. Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots

The GVCS Broadfording Lions will be taking part in a tournament against the Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. GVCS Broadfording is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.5 points per game this season.

Like GVCS Broadfording, Calvary Baptist Academy lost despite seeing results from several players. Matthew DeGroff led the charge by shooting 50% from the field to rack up 13 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Good, who went 5-for-11 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

GVCS Broadfording's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Calvary Baptist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 25-7.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: GVCS Broadfording has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32 boards per game. However, it's not like Calvary Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.5 rebounds.
