Volleyball Recap: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Castle Knights

Jeffersonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Castle Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-10.

Castle got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caroline Kenworthy out in front who had nine digs and two aces. Kenworthy is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Wilhelmus, who had six digs and three aces.

Jeffersonville's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Castle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Jeffersonville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Jennings County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Castle, they will take on Silver Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Castle will be looking to keep their 15-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
