Softball Recap: Millville Thunderbolts vs. St. Joseph Wildcats
After losing to St. Joseph the last time they met, Millville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Thunderbolts came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 7-4 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunderbolts.
Miley Cross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 12 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Isabella Musey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jaslene Negron was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Millville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
