Basketball Game Preview: Worthington Trojans vs. Waseca Bluejays

Worthington is 0-6 against Waseca since November of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Worthington Trojans will head out to face off against the Waseca Bluejays at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Worthington was beaten by Redwood Valley 70-42. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Waseca put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, posting an 87-45 win. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Knights are ranked 71st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Worthington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Waseca, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Worthington might still be hurting after the 79-56 loss they got from Waseca in their previous meeting back in March of 2021. Can Worthington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
