Softball Recap: Eaton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oakwood on Friday, Eaton came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Valley View Spartans by a score of 10-8 on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Eaton has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Valley View, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-11.

Coming up, Valley View will take on Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eaton will be paying especially close attention to the Spartans' matchup: after the Spartans face off against the Cougars, they'll take on Eaton again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
