Soccer Recap: Salem Victorious

Salem gave up the first goal on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Columbia Eagles by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Savana Reid and Kamaya Walton scored all three of Salem's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Salem is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four contests. As for Columbia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Salem will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Drew Charter at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
