Soccer Game Preview: Huntington Beach vs. Fountain Valley

The Huntington Beach Oilers will take on the Fountain Valley Barons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Huntington Beach saw some tournament action last Friday. They and El Toro finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Fountain Valley had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They never let the Vikings onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. The game marked the Barons' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Fountain Valley pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. Huntington Beach's draw gives them a new season record of 5-4-3.
