Hoggard has gone a perfect 10-0 against Laney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Hoggard's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six games.
Hoggard is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Topsail, posting a 52-12 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Hoggard can attribute much of their success to David Hunter, who gained 158 total yards and three touchdowns, and Matthew Boring, who rushed for 59 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Those 59 rushing yards gave Boring a new career-high. Hoggard also got help from Micah Hunter, who showed off his sure hands for 95 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hoggard was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Laney didn't have too much trouble with Topsail last Friday as they won 27-9. The matchup marked the Buccaneers' most dominant victory of the season.
Hoggard better keep an eye on Ryan Gallagher. He was instrumental in Laney's win, throwing for 166 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 79.2% of his passes.
Laney's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. In that department, Kwmane Allen was the leader with two sacks. Laney got some further help from Preston Hall: he picked up a sack, made four total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended two passes.
Laney now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hoggard, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
Everything came up roses for Hoggard against Laney when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 48-14 victory. In that contest, the Vikings amassed a halftime lead of 27-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
