Softball Recap: Rosebud-Lott Takes a Loss

Rosebud-Lott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Danbury Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 13-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Rosebud-Lott saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayley Meadows, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Rosebud-Lott's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Danbury, they moved to 1-3 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars take on the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Danbury, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hallettsville at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
