Football Recap: Susquehanna Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Susquehanna Valley was the 28-12 winner over Chenango Valley when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Sabers took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Saturday. The Sabers were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Nolan Weed threw for 63 yards on five of 13 attempts. Nick Layton was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards.

Susquehanna Valley now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Chenango Valley, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Susquehanna Valley and Chenango Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Sabers (ranked 308th) will meet Norwich (ranked 142nd) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Chenango Valley will square off against Windsor Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (457 vs. 86).
