Recap: Shoals Jug Rox vs. Paoli Rams
The Shoals Jug Rox's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 50-29 defeat at the hands of Paoli. Shoals lost against Paoli in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-38 score last time.
Paoli was led to victory by Carley Higgins and Jehrico Hopper. Higgins scored 18 points along with 4 steals, while Hopper scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The matchup was Higgins' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Radcliff, who scored 6 points.
Shoals bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Paoli, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Shoals will head out on the road to face off against Dugger Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dugger Union is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Paoli, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Salem at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th.
