Basketball Recap: South Bend Adams Takes a Loss

South Bend Adams and Michigan City squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but South Bend Adams had to settle for second. They fell 65-56 to the Michigan City Wolves. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now lost three in a row.

Paulecia Isom was her usual excellent self, putting up 26 points along with eight assists and six boards for Michigan City. The game was Isom's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Divine Woods, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

South Bend Adams' loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Michigan City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-16.

South Bend Adams does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Michigan City, they will face off against South Bend Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Bend Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Michigan City likes a good challenge.
