Jemison scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 43-36 to the Sylacauga Aggies. The Panthers gained 115 more yards on the day, but it was the Aggies that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Jemison lost, don't look at Adrian Davis. Despite the final result, he rushed for 133 yards and one TD, and also picked up 61 receiving yards and one touchdown. The Panthers also got a significant boost from Houston Harris, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.

Sylacauga was led to victory by Zakorien Chambliss and Cj Franklin. Chambliss rushed for 150 yards and four scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, while Franklin rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only six carries. The Aggies are undefeated when Chambliss posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

Jemison is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Sylacauga, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Jemison will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northside at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Sylacauga, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 42-35 loss against Valley on the 3rd.
