Baseball Recap: Christian School of York Starts Season with Victory Against Harrisburg Christian

Christian School of York had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let Harrisburg Christian get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Christian School of York as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Maverick Browand made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Browand was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Christian School of York got a big performance out of Aidan Ehrhart, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Axel Sutherland, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Christian School of York always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian School of York will take on Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Harrisburg Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coventry Christian at 3:45 p.m. on March 25th.
