Baseball Recap: Patton Takes a Loss

If Patton was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Freedom on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the East Burke Cavaliers by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 back in February.

Patton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landry Duvall, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Patton has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for East Burke, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Patton will host Hendersonville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Burke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
