Volleyball Recap: Pocono Mountain East Comes Up Short

Pocono Mountain East lost against Pleasant Valley back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cardinals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 25-27, 25-19.

Kira Hnat had a dynamite game For Pleasant Valley., getting 11 digs, four aces, and two blocks. That's the most aces Hnat has posted over her last eight matchups. Emmerson DeLuna was another key player, getting 18 digs.

Pocono Mountain East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Pleasant Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-11-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pocono Mountain East is set to square off against their familiar foe East Stroudsburg North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pleasant Valley will take on rival Pocono Mountain West at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
