Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Bend Austin). They strolled past the Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 88-69. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Bend Hightower lost, don't look at Jarek Sasser. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 15 on his way to 30 points. That's the most points Sasser has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mikey Burgess, who posted ten points.

Fort Bend Austin's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Fort Bend Hightower, their loss dropped their record down to 15-14.
