It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Front Range Baptist Falcons ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They managed a 44-40 victory over Mile High Academy. The victory was just what Front Range Baptist needed coming off of a 48-27 defeat in their prior game.

Front Range Baptist had a senior duo take command as Libby Ciccone dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds and Katie Jaques scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Jaques is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight.

Despite the defeat, Mile High Academy saw an underclassman step up: Addie Dodds almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine steals. That was a full 57.5% of Mile High Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Izzy Motano, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and two steals.

Front Range Baptist's victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Mile High Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Front Range Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th.
