Basketball Recap: South Find Success

South won the last time they faced Great Bend, and Paityn Fritz did her part to make sure it happened again. The South Cougars took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 42-12 win over the Great Bend Panthers thanks in part to Fritz, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Hamel, who posted five points. Those points marked the first that she's scored this season.

South now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Great Bend, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-50 defeat against Buhler on the 24th. Great Bend has also already played their next game, a 47-40 loss against Abilene on the 24th.
