Basketball Game Preview: Napavine Tigers vs. Adna Pirates

Napavine has won 21 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Adna has won 21 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Napavine Tigers will welcome the Adna Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Napavine knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Adna likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Napavine took their contest with ease, bagging a 69-42 victory over Rainier. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Adna posted their closest win since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They had just enough and edged Onalaska out 65-63. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Loggers are ranked 218th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adna has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Napavine, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.

Napavine came up short against Adna in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 47-40. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Adna's Gavan Muller, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.
