Softball Recap: Cascade Gets the Win

Cascade won the last time they faced Riverdale and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Champions walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Champions.

Jocelyn Laughlin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caroline Parker was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Thompson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Cascade now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Riverdale, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Cascade will face off against Forrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverdale, they will venture away from home to challenge Oakland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
