Volleyball Game Preview: Marquette Mustangs vs. St. Dominic Crusaders

The Marquette Mustangs will take on the St. Dominic Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Marquette is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Marquette is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Blue Valley West, who was ranked first in their home state at the time (Marquette was ranked 14th). The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Jaguars on Saturday.

Meanwhile, St. Dominic didn't have quite enough to beat St. Joseph's Academy on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Angels: they've now lost three in a row.

St. Dominic took St. Joseph's Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-23, 25-13, 19-25, 15-13.

Marquette's loss dropped their record down to 15-15. As for St. Dominic, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7-2.
