Basketball Game Preview: Leyden Eagles vs. Proviso East Pirates

Leyden hasn't had much luck against Proviso East recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Leyden Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Proviso East Pirates at 2:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Leyden ended up a good deal behind Buffalo Grove and lost 79-61.

Meanwhile, Proviso East lost to Downers Grove South on the road by a 77-58 margin on Friday.

Leyden's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Proviso East, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Leyden came up short against Proviso East in their previous matchup back in January, falling 60-53. Can Leyden avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
