Norwell is a perfect 8-0 against Angola since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights will head out to challenge the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Norwell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Norwell's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Homestead on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Norwell got a good showing from Noah Turk, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Furthermore, Turk didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Angola had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Garrett on Thursday. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Steury, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Angola's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 0-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Hunt, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Angola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matches.

Norwell's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Angola, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-9.

Everything went Norwell's way against Angola in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Norwell made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
