Baseball Recap: Mason Find Success

Mason got themselves on the board against Oak Hills on Wednesday, but Oak Hills never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Highlanders. The victory continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now won eight in a row.

The result came thanks to Ben Hanley's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, Cade Landheer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Mason's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Oak Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.

Coincidentally, Mason and Oak Hills will both be playing Middletown the next time they take the field. The Highlanders will host the Middies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Comets will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
