Williamsburg won the last time they faced Fayetteville-Perry and things went their way on Saturday too. Williamsburg was the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over Fayetteville-Perry. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Gracie Graves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

On the hitting side, Kaityln Pollitt was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lyla Hensley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Pollitt wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Williamsburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win got Williamsburg back to even at 2-2. As for Fayetteville-Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamsburg will face off against Clinton-Massie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fayetteville-Perry, they will square off against Goshen at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
