Assumption faced Notre Dame Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rockets put the hurt on the Pandas with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Assumption's got stronger as the match went on, holding Notre Dame Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-14.

Brooke Codey paced Assumption's offense, picking up 16 kills. Codey got some help from Jillian Bohannon and her 41 assists. Finally, Julia Lee kept Assumption's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Notre Dame Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dara Jackson, who had 17 digs and three assists, and Lizzy Larkins, who had 18 assists and five digs. Larkins is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Assumption's win bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Notre Dame Academy, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 23-7.
