Kennedy's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the West Ranch Wildcats with a sharp 10-3 victory. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 8-2 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.

Aubrie Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sarah Olague, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Brooklyn Williams also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The victory got Kennedy back to even at 4-4. As for West Ranch, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Kennedy will venture away from home to take on Cleveland at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennedy is facing Cleveland at the right time seeing as Cleveland is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for West Ranch, they will be taking part in a tournament against Oxnard at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. West Ranch's pitchers better be ready for this one: Oxnard has averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
