Football Game Preview: St. Joseph Jayhawks vs. Water Canyon Wildcats + Official Tickets

The St. Joseph Jayhawks will challenge the Water Canyon Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph has given up an average of 42.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Joseph is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Rich, who was ranked second at the time (St. Joseph was ranked eighth). The Jayhawks had to suffer through a 71-40 loss at the hands of the Rebels. The Jayhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, St. Joseph got top-tier performance from Keenan Campbell, who threw for 252 yards and five touchdowns.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 34 points the game before, Water Canyon was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by Monticello and fell 53-6. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Buckaroo recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Water Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for St. Joseph, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything went St. Joseph's way against Water Canyon when the teams last played back in August, as St. Joseph made off with a 52-28 win. Will the Jayhawks repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
