Preview: Arcadia Apaches vs. Glendale Nitros
After two games on the road, Arcadia is heading back home. The Arcadia Apaches and the Glendale Nitros will face off at 5:15 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Arcadia has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three matches.
Even though South Pasadena scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, Arcadia still came out on top. Arcadia secured a 65-61 W over South Pasadena.
Arcadia had a senior duo take command as Jordan Dollar scored 16 points along with two steals and Mansour Senneh scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Noa Eteuati-Edwards, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Glendale's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Pasadena, falling 80-49. While losing is never fun, Glendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while Pasadena is ranked 37th).
Arcadia is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Glendale, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9.
Arcadia took their win against Glendale in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 73-47. Will Arcadia repeat their success, or does Glendale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
