Basketball Recap: Southern Raiders vs. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans
Southern lost against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Southern Raiders fell to the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans 42-38. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lillian Bowen, who posted 15 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bowen has scored at least a third of Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elie Bstandig, who put up eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals.
Southern's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off.
