Basketball Recap: Balko/Forgan Victorious

Turpin came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Balko/Forgan, but Brya Appelhans wouldn't allow it. Balko/Forgan came out on top against Turpin by a score of 50-41 on Friday with plenty of help from Appelhans, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. She has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: she's posted one of at least 50% every time she's hit the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Haylee Taylor, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy.

Balko/Forgan's record is now 4-1. As for Turpin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Balko/Forgan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-35 win against Arapaho on the 13th. As for Turpin, they will be home for the holidays to greet Texhoma at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cardinals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
