Softball Recap: York County Tech Comes Up Short

If York County Tech was riding high fresh off their 19-0 takedown of Hanover last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans came up short against the Biglerville Canners on Wednesday, falling 18-3. The Spartans have struggled against the Canners recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Leah Drake made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

York County Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Biglerville, their record now sits at 8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. York County Tech is set to challenge their familiar foe York Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Biglerville will take on rival Bermudian Springs at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
