Football Recap: Lausanne Collegiate Drops Highest Score of Season Against Collierville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lausanne Collegiate). They strolled past the Collierville Dragons with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 49-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lynx.

Lausanne Collegiate had a senior duo take command as Tj Jenkins threw for 356 yards and five TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes and Jawell Rodgers picked up 253 receiving yards and four touchdowns. With that strong performance, Rodgers is now averaging an impressive 108.2 receiving yards per game. Another player making a difference was Lawrence Britt, who picked up 99 receiving yards and one score.

Lausanne Collegiate didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braylon Wyatt and Joseph Proffitt.

The victory got Lausanne Collegiate back to even at 3-3. As for Collierville, they moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Lausanne Collegiate will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Collierville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cordova at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
