Baseball Game Preview: Bremen Lions vs. Knox Redskins

For the second straight game, Bremen will face off against Knox. The Lions will be playing at home against the Redskins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bremen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bremen and Knox had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Lions blew past the Redskins 11-2 on Thursday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Redskins recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

JJ Cencelewski made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Silas Laidig, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Keagen Culp was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Knox's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Bremen, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1.
