Soccer Recap: Woodbridge Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Woodbridge was not quite University's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the University Trojans by a score of 2-1. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on January 7th.

Their goal came courtesy of Shay Giffin, who's now up to two this season.

Woodbridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-10-6. As for University, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season.

Woodbridge will face off against Sage Hill at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodbridge is facing Sage Hill at the right time seeing as Sage Hill is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for University, they will square off against Laguna Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
