Football Game Preview: Logan-Rogersville Wildcats vs. Branson Pirates

The Logan-Rogersville Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Branson Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Logan-Rogersville's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, Logan-Rogersville blew past Marshfield, posting a 49-7 win. The Wildcats have beaten the Bluejays the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bluejays has come to flipping the script.

Logan-Rogersville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Frieze led the charge by throwing for 156 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes. The Wildcats also got help from Gage Hale, who showed off his sure hands for 94 receiving yards.

Logan-Rogersville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 215 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Branson sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-32 victory over Carl Junction on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted against the Bulldogs since September 11, 2020.

Logan-Rogersville's record now sits at 6-1. As for Branson, their record is now 5-2.

Logan-Rogersville was taken down by Branson 56-14 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
