Westview had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Northside Methodist Academy Knights with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won seven matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Graham Simpson was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of CD Damron, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Westview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside Methodist Academy only posted a batting average of .176.

Westview's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Northside Methodist Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Westview will take on Ripley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northside Methodist Academy, they will square off against Dale County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
