Oakcrest came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against The Pilgrim Academy, but Coretta Kruse wouldn't allow it. The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers walked away with a 35-25 win over the Oakcrest Falcons on Tuesday thanks to Kruse, who went 11-for-20 on her way to 22 points and eight boards. Those 22 points gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Cosme, who posted two points along with nine assists, seven rebounds, and five steals. She is becoming a predictor of The Pilgrim Academy's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 4-1 (and 5-8 when she doesn't).

The victory got The Pilgrim Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Oakcrest, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, The Pilgrim Academy will be playing at home against Cape May County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
