Baseball Recap: Wagener-Salley Comes Up Short

Wagener-Salley managed to slip by Horse Creek Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wagener-Salley War Eagles lost 11-1 to the Horse Creek Academy Stallions on Tuesday. The War Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Wagener-Salley's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Horse Creek Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wagener-Salley will venture away from home to challenge Swansea at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Horse Creek Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against American Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Horse Creek Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully American Leadership Academy likes a good challenge.
