It's playoff time, and Assumption had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Oldham County Colonels on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rockets have posted since April 19th.

Assumption has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Oldham County, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 29-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Assumption beat the Colonels by a score of 4-2 later that day.
